Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom

Boy, Alex hit maybe all time low with 3 games without a point.

- Chara shut him down and Alex had only 2 shots on goal.

- Bruins made it even because Alex was in the penalty box.

- Hanlon didn't play him in the final seconds of the game.

- Alex couldn't score in shootout.

Oh, and how I could forget this...

- Alex took a slapshot off the helmet from the guy who just won the NHL All Star slapshot competition.

100+ mph flying puck in the head from Chara? Why? What did I do wrong, my Lord?

What else?

The wolfpack has closed on Alex the Grrrrrrrrrrr8.

Lecavalier scored the goal and is a new NHL goal leader with 34 goals. Crosby had his usual, 2pts and french fries.
Briere had 2g, Drury had 1a, Kovalchuk has 31 goals now, Hossa had an assist.

Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom. Yeah, yeah, yeah... Hopefully it was the bottom.

Ok, what can be done?

5. change roommate Semin to roommate Fehr
4. change black skates back to white ones
3. change yellow shoe laces to blue ones
2. get 5 shots of vodka before the game instead of usual 5 beers

and finally...
1. start scoring again, dammit

Tarik read my blog :-)

Ovechkin was limited to two shots, was in the penalty box when the Boston Bruins forced overtime and misfired on his attempt in the shootout in the Capitals' 3-2 loss at Verizon Center. Afterward, the 21-year-old appeared as frustrated as he's been during his first season-and-a half in the league.

"Today was my terrible game of my whole career," Ovechkin said softly. "It's not my game."

Frustration has been building for the Russian left wing as the Capitals, who have lost six of eight, drift further from the playoff race.

from off wing opinion:

"Before I bolted to meet up with Allen, my photographer, Tarik El-Bashir mentioned to Hanlon that it looked like Ovechkin was ducking the media. Hanlon didn't seem pleased."
