Fedorov looks like one of the Hanson brothers.

Or should I say "like one of the Fedorov brothers?" :-)

No, I am not talking about Fedor Fedorov. I am talking about his brother. :-)

I've never seen this video before, never heard about it either. 1993-1994 playoffs, Fedorov crosschecks and punches Jayson More.

Another interesting story about Hanson, pardon, Fedorov brothers.

A few years ago there was an interview with Ilya Kovalchuk's father. It was about the junior's game in Russia when Ilya was punched in the face by... Fedor Fedorov. I guess Fedor was a lot bigger by then (Kovalchuk grew to his height in late teens, he was a lot smaller up to then) so there was a one way fight. Anyhow Ilya went to a locker room and cried. He cried, but then he went back and scored. And his Dad said "That day I realized that Ilya would be a hockey player."

I have never seen that clip, but I am actually stunned that was a dirty hit to the head, I am stunned that Sergei would be so dirty. I realize this was a long time ago, and perhaps he has matured a lot since then but using your stick like that as a weapon he ALWAYS uncalled for IMO. Also the story about Kovie made me laugh, especially the part about him crying in the locker room, don't know why it just made me giggle.

good to see Fedorov retaliating. Remember in 93-94, he was one of the main go to guys so you know the cheap shots were coming. That what I loved about the 08 cup run, Datsyuk seeing people coming at him and throwing the shoulder unexpectedly!

I was stunned too, but these are playoffs... When you just look at this cross-check alone, it looks bad, but you don't know why Sergei did it. You have to know the whole history to understand it. Right?
