Video interview to Sport-Express at the party in honor Ovechkin

"I became a delegate of the Olympics-2014 in Sochi recently. I am proud that I was awarded this title."

"It is necessary to show the world that the Olympics in Sochi will be held on the highest level and that Russia deserved the right to hold Olympic Games."

"I am already thinking about the Vancouver Olympics. And I know people hope for the victory of our team."

"Canadians want to revenge on us for the losses in two consecutive World Championships. But not only they want it. For two years we outplayed everybody and all countries want to beat us."

"Next season will be difficult without Sergei Fedorov that left for Metallurg Magnitogorsk. It is a pity to lose such a great man and a wonderful player."

"But life is life. We wish him luck and success. I wanted to have him in NHL. But he chose a different way – to play with his brother and I think it right."

Canadian NHL players really do not care about the World Championships. Only the losing NHL teams send their players and many refuse, because they want to rest. Sorry Sasha, but you are wrong.

Yeah, but those who go there, don't want to lose, do they? Ask them how they feel losing to Russia two years in a row.

And Ovi beat team Canada (scored GWG) in Tourin 4 years ago. Do Canadian hockey players care about the Olympics?

It's all like pendulum, you win some, you lose some. Now it's Canada's turn to lose.

Canada had everything, 4 coaches, fan's support, how ice advantage, and yet they were barely able to beat USA, a team of nobody's compared to Canada.
