Yes, Ovie is training
Some people questioned Alex after seeing all the party pictures in this blog and here's the answer, yes he is training with Kapitonov in Novogorsk! This interview in Sovetsky Sport (July 30, 2009) is with Maxim Afinogenov, but they are mentioning Ovechkin (some excerpts):
Moscow Dynamo started pre-season training and their intentions are to play for the Gagarin Cup this season. Not just the players who signed with Dynamo are training in Novogorsk, there are also NHL stars, Alexander Ovechkin, Maxim Afinogenov, Andrei Markov...
When we were leaving Novogorsk training facility a sporty BMW dashed into the parking lot and hit the brakes. Guess who else came to train in a familiar facility? It was easy to find by the license plate number - AAA 008. As if you could read, "Alexander Ovechkin, #8". We immediately recalled the words that Sasha wrote on the Dynamo's wishes board: "To my dear Dynamo: thanks for the start into a beautiful life!".
Now isn't it dumb for Sovetsky Sport, a widely circulated newspaper in Russia, to publish Ovechkin's license plate? Let us know what you think.

Or maybe Ovi shouldn't have such an obvious license plate. :P
But, no, I don't think it should have been published in a newspaper, but as a American we're more concerned about things like that.
