It's deja vu again, Russia is behind like it was in Quebec.

If Bykov won't change Nabokov to Bryzgalov, he is done. This guy is no good.

2nd Period:
It's official, Bykov sucks. I was critical of him from the day one. The guy should stay in Siberia for the rest of his life. He has no clue of what is going in in the top hockey league in the world, no clue about the latest tendencies in hockey, he is just not prepared.

Is there a chance? No. Maybe 1%. The only hope is that Canada is playing the second night in the row, and that's what Bykov is hoping, but I think it's too late.

I wish Bruce could coach Team Russia (Hello, Russian billionaires?), he would ride Ovi from the first second of the second period and he would definitely replace Nabby after he allowed the 3rd goal. Under what kind of rock Bykov was living lately?

Top time for Russian players:

8 Forward OVECHKIN Alexander -2 14:00
11 Forward MALKIN Evgeni -2 12:34
13 Forward DATSYUK Pavel +1 14:07

Congratulations to team Canada, their coaching staff, they deserved it!

One thing I am happy about, Crosby was invisible and it was not about Crosby - Ovechkin, just like Ovi said, it's about Russia vs Canada.

Could it be another game, it could be a totally different outcome, but it's not the Stanley Cup with the best 4 out of 7. The Russian were less prepared than Canadians.

Now back to the business, "revenge" is a good word for Ovi, he will want Stanley Cup bad after that.

Coaching decisions for Russia this Olympics has been questionable at best. What coach doesn't pull a goalie when down 3-0? Seriously?

But Canada is simply superior. Russia has no answers for the cycle game. They look lost down low.

Poor Ovie! :( At least Crosby had nothing to do with the outcome of the game...I think the Russian coach should be fired because of this. Coaching and team D along with Nabokov cost them this game. At least Russia came back a bit in the third period...hopefully Ovie comes back better than ever now and here's to Russian gold in Sochi! ;)

Well.

Sorry Ovi and Sasha, that looked painful. Syoma didn't look any happier up in the press box.

I bet you'll be glad to return to DC, to your regular linemates, and to a coach who knows what the hell he's doing.

LMAO. Over rated. Clap Clap Clap Clap. Over rated. Clap Clap Clap Clap.

Next Olympics keep your mouth shut Ovenchicken and let your play on ice speak for you.

I don't get it...if you don't like Ovechkin, what are you doing on a site dedicated to him? Obsessed much you POS. Plus anyone posting under anonymous calling someone else a "chicken"? classic...

I felt pretty bad for Ovi. I know he loves his country like he loves his family and it had to be really hard for him...but in four short years there will be Sochi and if Varly turns out to be the goalie we think he is, he will make a big difference next time.

Note to the Russian coaches. If you don't let the players be who they are and have fun with the games, then you're not going to get the best out of them. Complaining about Ovi' hitting is absurd. That's what makes him who he is, and when you try and change that, it's just not going to work. I've never been so glad for BB...who let's Ovi be who he is, hits and all.

Chin up Ovi, you'll get them next time, hopefully under a coaching staff that let's you do, what you do best.

The game was painful to watch, especially when Ovie hurt his hand. My husband and I were shocked at the insensitive "Eurotrash" comment made by Milbury!!! Doesnt he know when to stop?

The team were judged as individuals and not as a team. Nabakov, with his play off history, was a poor choice to keep in.

Looks like Ovie was under too much pressure and lost focus due to the fact that he was hounded every second by the press. Hope he gets to regroup and refocus once he arrives in DC.
