“He’s amazing. There aren’t enough words in English or Russian to describe him.”
~Chris Drury
"He's like the shark in Jaws, circling in the water waiting for blood. They should play that music from the movie – da-duh, da-duh, da-duh - when he's out on a shift. He doesn't just go after loose pucks, he hunts them down."
~John Davidson, President of Hockey Operations for the St. Louis Blues.
Keep the faith, TJ, and keep up the good work.
Thank you, Alex Ovetjkin, for killing this ridiculous storyline with this post.

Blog o Alexovi, psaný anglicky, je vážně kvalitní a aktuální
Just wanted to thank you for posting my book on your blog, which I consulted a fair bit while researching and writing the book. In particular, the comprehensive list of links on alexovetjkin.blogspot.com is the best library on Ovechkin material available anywhere.

Russia doesn't deserve you, Alex, but they can see that and your outlook and your authenticity and your energy are the future of the nation.
Perhaps they'll prove themselves worthy of your faith in them.
Plushenko has won two medals (not 'none' as the article states) and Larionov's daughter's name is Alyonka, not Alena. Either it's translated wrong or the original article needed some fact-checking.
Alyonka is diminutive of Alena.
This is probably going to sound really catty, but....I don't quite understand why Alena is part of the ceremonies, besides her father. Didn't she bomb on American Idol and now works at some po-dunk TV station in Pittsburgh? I just found it odd that she's part of the future of Russia when she's just as American as me unless I'm thinking of the wrong person...
Ovie is chilling with the children in the closing ceremony ;)
Well, Ovie waved and looked happy. It was a small role, but at least he got to be a part. Was he carrying the flag or not? I never did see who was carrying the flag, but I assume it wasn't Ovie. Too bad he probably can't go out, relax and have a good time tonight. I would assume he'll be heading back to DC very early tomorrow.
