Thanks for posting the great pics from tonight's game so fast!

I love one of the top 5 texts sent to CSN tonight: "Ovi-Wan Knuble may the force be with you Friday night" LOL!

Ovie, Mike, Varly, and Nick definitely were the stars of the game. One of Ovie's goals was on the PP so that drought is done. Hopefully the Caps can clinch in game 5 to rest up for round 2.

I'm hoping either the Flyers and/or the Bruins pull an upset in round 1 so the Caps won't potentially face the Pens until the EC Finals, assuming both these teams advance.

BTW, what's up with the hard hat covered with numbers Ovie wore during his post-game comments? You gotta love a flake who marches to the beat of his own drummer.

Hard hat is for the best player of the game, tradition started by former Captain Chris Clark, and Ovi doesn't get it too often, btw, so it means he has to have an exceptional game to deserve it.

yup hard hat is for awesomeness. :)

I was so pleased to see Ovi get 2 tonight. My neighbors probably thought I won the lottery I yelled so loudly but hey, it kinda is the same thing, right?! :)

And Varly...awesomesauce.

No Speaky English.....I read your comments three times and still do not know WTF you are trying to say,
other than some 8 year old kid got a lil ice on him. Anyone got a clip of that??

As I understand the event, Ovi refused to sign a Canadian flag. Can anyone blame him? He's not Canadian, and after what the Habs' fans did to the US national anthem at the first Montreal game, is *signing* a flag any less disrespectful of another country?

Habs fans and other Ovi haters claim that he sprayed a lil boy when exiting the ice. How stupid it is? The video clip is available on YouTube. If he wanted to spray him, the kid would be dead by now. Just look which way he put the skates to break, dumbo. It was opposite to a kid. BTW, the kid paid zero attention to the whole episode, but the haters use any excuse anyway.

Two points:
--thanks to tj and Heather for clarifying the hard hat issue
--phooey on the Ovie haters and rumor mongers who spread lies about him and post this drek on blogs to rile up his fans. FYI to these trolls: get your facts straight before you make fools out of yourselves. Better yet, go back to your home boards to rant away and leave sites like this to those who know hockey and appreciate great players!

Ovie's the definitely not the best player in the world. Nicklas Backstrom is.

BobbyG,

To addd to what was said:

The previous player who wore the hard hat chooses who gets it next.
