Ovi, Varly and Brendan Morrison talk to media after the loss in game 5
Ovechkin: "Sasha [Semin] has to score in the middle when he had the chance. Flash [too]. Our top guys have to score goals."
Get 'em, Ovi... Really, what can be done to jump-start Semin? It's not that the guy is trying, he is trying hard, but he looks like an impotent...
Varly looks older, one year older :-)

Ovie summed it up best: "we have to score on power play (0-for-5 Friday, 1-for-24 in the series). We have more chances. Sasha (Alexander Semin) has to score in the middle when he had the chance. Flash (Tomas Fleischmann), too. Our top guys have to score goals."
Sounds like he's calling out fellow Russian Sasha and others, perhaps even himself for not doing more or providing the leadership necessary to push and motivate the slackers. Plus the #1 PP in the regular season is just awful now, which doesn't bode well for the Caps down the road assuming they get past the pesky Habs.
@tj: It is I, the one and only original BobbyG (so far) posting on the Ovie song thread. I'm curious as to why you think someone is pretending to be me.
"He's like the shark in Jaws, circling in the water waiting for blood. They should play that music from the movie – da-duh, da-duh, da-duh - when he's out on a shift. He doesn't just go after loose pucks, he hunts them down."

Just wanted to thank you for posting my book on your blog, which I consulted a fair bit while researching and writing the book. In particular, the comprehensive list of links on alexovetjkin.blogspot.com is the best library on Ovechkin material available anywhere.

BobbyG,
Have a question for you, did you comment on "Alexander Ovechkin song" post or was it impersonator?
What do you think tj? try to analyze what he said.
I was so excited for this game I was hoping that the Caps would win it so badly! But now I gotta wait until Monday, nooooo!

BTW, I posted a request for you on that thread.
