Ovechkin's driving along in automobile
Riding along in my automobile
My baby beside me at the wheel
I stole a kiss at the turn of a mile
My curiosity running wild
Crusin' and playin' the radio
With no particular place to go
Smoke on water and fire in the sky...
Perhaps I was blind to the facts, stabbed in the back
I couldn't trust my own homies just a bunch a dirty rats
Will I, succeed, paranoid from the weed
And hocus pocus try to focus but I can't see
And in my mind I'ma blind man doin time
Look to my future cause my past, is all behind me
Is it a crime, to fight, for what is mine?
Everybody's dyin tell me what's the use of tryin
Smoke on water and fire in the sky... :-)
The smog is all over, but the visibility is a bit better. More pix from Alyonka's blog

Things seem to be improving in Moscow, based on Aly's photos and what was reported on NBC tonight. The heat wave is supposed to subside by mid week.
@Ovie: This is NOT a generation gap issue, as I'm only a few years older than you are. I'll take Chuck Berry and Deep Purple any day over whatever that is you're playing on your car radio. If ever our paths cross and you offer me a ride, we'll have to have a serious talk about your playlist first LOL.
BobbyG, if you ever get a ride from Ovie, encourage him to wear his seatbelt! Maybe he does wear it in the US but not in Moscow. At least he wasn't driving too fast in the video.
@BobbyG: I believe it is 2Pac playing in the background. Don't know the song though. Not the worst music I've heard, but I would politely request a change. lol
But yes, I'd ask him as well to wear a seatbelt. It did look like he wasn't going very fast, maybe they were just going on a short drive? I sometimes leave it off if I'm just going down the road or something...
Also, how cute was the little hand thing he did at the beginning? I'd totally listen to rap to watch him dance! lol
@AB: the seat belt talk will occur before any discussion of music selections. This goes back to what O said on another thread about Ovie's flaws. I don't understand his risky behavior when he gets behind the wheel. And I won't go anywhere, not even with Ovie, if the seat belt isn't used. Heaven forbid we're in an accident, I wouldn't want to be the sole survivor.
@Mango: Tupac, too crap, whatever. Assuming Ovie gets around to wearing his seat belt--I don't care how short the drive is, it has to be on--I'd want control over the radio or whatever it is that's playing. I liked the hand thing too, but not enough to endure rap to see him dance. Add music "taste" to the list of his flaws LOL.
Yeah, its Tupac.
I also took note that he was driving slowly... there was a stopped bus in front of them, but I expected him to dart into the other lane. Maybe the smoke means driving is more tricky...?
WEAR YOUR FRIGGIN' SEATBELT, OVIE!!!!!!!!
The thought of driving around with my seat belt on listening to Tupac with Ovie and hearing him "rap" along in certainly enticing. He probably sounds adorable! Not a huge rap fan, but as far as rappers go Tupac was one of the most talented, so I could put up with it!
He apparently also likes eminem... Good thing we dont like him for his taste in music, though i dont hate dj smash lol
Tupac, Eminem...no, good thing I don't like Ovie for his taste in music. However, it's not a deal breaker. He has so many more positive attributes that cancel out the rap.
