I love the Ovie "shrine" in the photo. I'm not very artistic or creative with computer graphics programs. I prefer to express my feelings in words, which is the element where I'm most comfortable.
I wrote another 8 stanza haiku for the RMNB Ovie birthday contest. But they only accepted artwork and graphics for submissions.
@BobbyG:
You need to start your own blog for haiku
Just kidding :-) But keep them coming, you are good...
@TJ: thanks for the compliment. I thought about starting my own blog, but I have mixed feelings about it.
BTW, since RMNB "disqualified" my entry because it included no artwork/graphics and didn't post it, is it OK if I share it here? I'd like to give Ovie another birthday card belatedly LOL.
@BobbyG,
I'm certain Ovie won't mind the party lasting for days. :D
@O: I'll only share my other haiku effort if TJ says it's OK. I'm with you, Ovie is definitely the let-the-party-last-for-days type.
So here is my Bday present for a Ovie. a video compilation of all the pctures I have taken of him over the past 5 yrs. great memories, and great ovie moments. thanks from all your fans.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY OVIE!!!
youtube is being dumb and has taken off my music that goes with this video i'm in the process of fixing that so for now it's kind of just pictures, sorry about that. ugh. be creative and play your own music behind it haha

@BobbyG,
Send your haiku and we'll see what we can do... :-)
@TJ: it's in the email
@Marge: great job, great collection of Ovie photos! Thanks for sharing with us.
This is another one for Bobby G. The shrine in the photo is my desk at work. I created it last year for the playoffs and have added and subtracted since then. I decided to add to it for Ovie's birthday and this is the end result. My work group is moving to a different floor of our building so I am going to have to take it all down and I will do a complete redo for our 2010-2011 season which should happen sometime in Oct/Nov. I will post when it's done. Your poem about Ovie and Haiku's are outstanding and very creative! Keep up the good work!
@Amy: thanks for the compliment about my haikus. If Ovie inspires me, there may be more coming during the season.
Your shrine is fabulous, and I look forward to seeing your redo in Oct/Nov.
