Outplayed and outcoached, but...
What can you say? A lot of work ahead for Bruce Boudreau and the Caps for this season. Actually when you lose, you stay humble. Last year's President's Trophy didn't help in that category.

The Bruins definitely did their job against Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin.
Not only did they limit his touches and shots throughout the home-and-home series, but they also knocked him around quite a bit out on the ice.
That's not to say Ovechkin didn't get a few hits in himself, but from the looks of the video below, the NHL All-Star is definitely going to have a few bumps and bruises thanks to the Bruins.

On a lighter note, here's the tribute to former Caps and Red Wings player Sergei Fedorov. What a player he was, the last greatest player of Soviet school of hockey (we know Ovi is Canadian, right? :-) and Caps are blessed to have him even at the end of his career.

Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin are Remarkable Players, but If you grew up in the 1990's and know about Hockey...you know Russia's Sergei Fedorov goes together with the likes of Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux, being in a league of their own.

I was up in Boston last night for the game and it was hard to watch. It seemed like Ovi was tired and the whole team seemed sluggish.
Are the Caps supposed to be humble now? I thought their motto for this season was Stay Angry.
And on that subject, I must respectfully disagree with the coach's decision to make this their theme. From my experience in martial arts, being angry is not a help, it's a distraction, a big hindrance to accomplishing one's goals. I had my best kumites when I was calm and relaxed, certainly not angry. Anger is a negative emotion, and IMO the Caps need positive karma, not memories of what did them in during the playoffs.
IMO the Caps need to let go of their anger and focus instead on DISCIPLINE and LEADERSHIP.
