Season ticket holder's party

A lot of confusion about this and now Bucci is in the mix... :-)

The Capitals Season Ticket Holder Party that was scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 14, at Six Flags America has been postponed due to the forecast for inclement weather. The party has been rescheduled for Monday, Oct. 18, from 5:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.


The Capitals would like to apologize in advance as Alex Ovechkin and Semyon Varlamov will not be in attendance on this date due to a previously scheduled commitment. Both players will be at the ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Conn., shooting a TV commercial for ESPN. Again, the Capitals would like to apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to seeing you on Monday, Oct. 18, at Six Flags America.

All original tickets issues to season-ticket holders will be honored on Monday. If season-ticket holders have given away their tickets, we ask that they contact that person to let them know of the date change.

One unfortunate affect of the move is that Alex Ovechkin and Semyon Varlamov will not be able to attend, as they will be in Bristol, Conn., filming a This is SportsCenter commercial. You’ve probably seen these ads - they’re very well done. We’ve been working with ESPN for a long time to get Alex in one of these spots, and it’s important that we keep this commitment. We hope you understand.

(And while I can’t give away the premise of the commercial, you won’t be disappointed - it will be great for Alex, Semyon and our team.)

Someone left a comment on this blog a while ago that Ovi cancelled his event on Oct. 18, 2010 with Diana Vishnevsky foundation as well.
