Schultz, Ovechkin, Bradley on the loss
What a boring game, welcome to the world of trap...
Update:
Ovechkin fell off the bench, apparently (Thrashers commentators are guessing) he was hit by his teammates' stick)
Joe B and Craig had no comment during broadcast on CSN feed

We'll agree on this one, TJ. Stop me if I'm repeating myself but...I HATE THE TRAP!
IMO the All Star Game break could not have come at a better time. All the Caps not going need to spend some time resting and re-charging while thinking about ways to get themselves rolling for the stretch run.
And speaking for myself, I wouldn't mind a bit if Ovie asks out of participating in the ASG. Green should come up with an excuse to join him. Of all the Caps, these two guys play the most minutes game in, game out. They could use a five day breather from the grind.
I guess I didn't miss much when my satellite went out for the 3rd period then. I agree it was boring up until then.
Not really up on what this trap is but what is it called when they actually SHOT THE PUCK? Sorry, a little frustrated. Still too many missed chances and no shooting. Don't get that.
Someone needs to fix Nicky. He's not himself and pretty soon Mojo is going the be the number one Swede on the team.
*Raises glass* Here is to next week.
@bwitch16: even Joe B. and Locker commented about how the first period was like having root canal LOL. That's what the trap is!
Seriously, for a definiton see:

Question: What is "the trap" and how do players line up when playing it?
Answer:
It's full name is the "neutral zone trap," but the term is often used to describe any passive, no-risk, defense-first strategy. If the game you're watching is very dull, with few quality shots on goal, chances are one team is playing a variation on the trap. Trapping teams don't pursue opponents, don't attack the puck and often don't seem very interested in scoring.
The Caps shot the puck. A LOT. 36 SOG to be exact, 8 by Ovie. The problem is, most of the 36 went into Pavelec's glove, pad or chest. The Caps didn't pick their spots, they were just shooting for the sake of shooting with no sense of purpose--or direction. This needs to be addressed after the ASG and very quickly. That and the woeful PP.
Nicky is horrible, Marcus has much more potential.
@BobbyG: Thanks for the explanation, and that sounds exactly like what they did.
@TJ: Nicky used to be so good, so what happened? But so did Laich, Knuble, Green and so on, so what happened? and did Brooksie really hit Ovi in the face with his stick?
