Ovechkin shooting pucks from CapitalOne roof, Neuvy's playing a Visigoth kid

Ok, just kidding about Neuvy. :-)

Arlington Now, Feb. 23, 2011:

Dozens of gaffers, grips, extras and producers were hard at work filming a Capital One Bank commercial at the corner of Columbia Pike and Monroe Street this morning.

The film crew set up their gear around 6:00 this morning, and broke most of it down by 10:00.

We hear the crew was heading into D.C. to film at another Capital One bank location this afternoon. That shoot, we were told, would involve Capitals star and Arlington resident Alex Ovechkin shooting pucks from the bank’s roof.

Update:

"Neuvy's playing a Visigoth kid"

I don't know why, but I find this very amusing. I secretly hope TJ isn't kidding.

@bwitch16: I saw your post on another thread back a ways. Thanks for the support.

@Marge: "Ovie pulls himself" LOL!
Oh thank you for the laugh (the video is pretty cool too). I needed that to wash away the stench from tonight's embarrassing and disappointing 6-0 Caps' loss AT HOME to the NY Rangers.

@BobbyG,

The saddest thing about that loss is that Ovie deserved some goals the way he was playing and peppering the net.

@O: Yes, Ovie deserved to score some goals, especially on the 2-on-1 odd man rush that could have given the Caps some momentum.

However, the saddest part of the loss is that Ovie's teammates didn't follow his lead. They looked mostly lifeless and disinterested which is unacceptable considering they had 3 days off following their win over the Pens. Plus no one stood up for Mike Green after Derek Stepan took him out. IMO the game was already lost less than 6 minutes into the 1st period because the Rangers scored just seconds after Green went down.
