Ovechkin talks after the loss to Phoenix 2:3
washcaps: Ovechkin, Johansson and Bradley talk about the game
Ovi: I think we played a good game, but we lost it...
Johansson: We lost, but this game was better than the last game...
Bradley: Overall it was the decent game...
Yeah, after Bradley scored, Caps had a few very good stretches, but Phoenix matched all their efforts.
I do believe that switching to a new system will benefit Caps in playoffs, but it could happen that they might not make it. Hard to believe, but it happened in playoffs when they were eliminated by Habs. Remember what Boudreau said almost jokingly back than? "We can be out of playoffs next Wednesday..." and they were...
Just hope Caps can make it this year.

I saw a lot better effort tonight, but it wasn't good enough for a win. You have to bury your chances, and the Caps had epic fail in that department, no small measure due to their continuing ineptitude on the power play. This is a broken record, but for God's sake take Ovie off the point on the PP!
I hope the Caps make the playoffs too. Right now they are as close to falling out of contention as they are to taking over the top spot in the SE division. The Bolts play the Flyers tomorrow night. For perhaps the first time all season, I'll be rooting for the other Pennsylvania team, the one not located in Pittsburgh.
Caps are getting good chances. Score could have easily been 6-3 caps. IMO, they will be more dangerous in the playoffs than in previous years.
I would be curious to know if the problem is the coaching or the players not following his direction. If the direction is not clear then of course the performance will not work.
I don't understand why he puts Ovi and Nicky with Knuble or Semin, when it doesn't seem to work. They looked energetic but very discombobulated and confused last night. Even Hendricks looked like he lost his spunk, which makes me sad. Come back boys!
@bwitch16: I'm curious to know why BB keeps making so many line changes even when they are working. It's not a good recipe to establish chemistry. At the same time BB coninues with PP strategy that doesn't work. If I had any hair left I'd be pulling it out.
@PK Sub: I'd have more confidence in the ability of the Caps to "be more dangerous in the playoffs" if:
a) I was convinced they actually would make the playoffs. IMO it's NOT a slam-dunk given anymore.
b)they showed consistent improvement in effort and focus, not the up and down back and forth dizziness that's been on display.
