PK Subban Meets Alexander Ovechkin

washcaps: Ovechkin, Perreault, Hendricks on the shootout loss

The loss to Habs was so frustrating that I didn't what to post anything yesterday. But I guess if you run blog about Ovechkin, you have to post this (TSN feed):

PK Subban Meets Alexander Ovechkin (February 1, 2011)

Same TSN feed, better quality

According to this tweet by ZOCIALtv it was "5th most tweeted VIDEO in Sports".

PK Subban: "It was as the best hit of the year. He got me good."

How you can't love this kid? Yes, he punched Ovi, but after the face wash, you have to send a message, right?

ya that interview brings him into a new light but its so easy not to love the kid. On the ice and off the ice are two entirely different people. On the ice he is dirty, egotistical, unpredictable and vengeful. off the cie he seems free wiliing, playful and humble. i still can't stand him and dont know why he was in Raleigh over Carlson

Oops, maybe I was wrong... Frankly I don't know him much or not following him much. But the interview was good, at least he admitted the hit was good.

I've heard something about him and Flyers, but don't know what happened.

I agree with Marge, I don't like him on the ice, he's a dirty nasty player, but off the ice he has a winning personality.

Sidenote, I watch that video over and over again as a pick me up when the day gets too dull. Thank you my Captain :-)

Wow Marge, that's pretty harsh. The kid is a competitor. Does he play with an edge and confidence? Yes. It's that edge that makes him look like a veteran out there.

Ovie used to play with the same type of edge and confidence (why people often called him dirty). While we see flashes of it, Ovie's not doing it consistantly.

If he was everything you said, would he really have given Ovie that kind of props post game?

And he was in Raleigh over carlson because they're value on the ice is comparable right now. But he is simply more popular and flashier than Carlson.

I agree with PK. All the words used to describe PK Subban could have also described Ovi up to last year. Subban seems like a cool guy and he is a highly talented player. Haters gon' hate though.
