Alex went to a boxing match (Denis Lebedev vs. Roy Jones Jr.) yesterday in Moscow. 31 years old Lebedev knocked out 42 years old Roy Jones in the 10th round.

You can see Alex behind famous Russian filmmaker Nikita Mikhalkov.

His eye color changes with the light. I wonder if his eyes would look purple if he wears a purple shirt. He needs to still all Semin's purple shirts hahahaha!!XD
I mean violet not purple (face palm)
hopes hes doing alright
He looks very sad...
Hopefully he started working out already, that's the best way to get in a better mood.
Working out always puts me in a great mood. I'm like blah going in, :0D going out.
He looks very disinterested in the match, maybe boxing isn't his thing. Poor Alex. :0(
*hugs*
Ovie not only looks very sad, he also looks guarded and uneasy, as if he knows he's being watched and photographed. IMO he feels the heat after more Stanley Cup and World Championship disappointments, as if the eyes of all of Russia are on him, watching his every move. It isn't easy or very good being Ovie nowadays. :(
BTW, the guy at the far left in the third pic looks familiar, especially in the eyes. Could it be Ovie's creepy pal Magomet?
I read one article about this boxing match where they called Ovi Mr. "0+0". That's because he didn't have a goal or assist at the IIHF. Horrible... Obviously I didn't feel a need to translate it...
A lot of Russian hockey experts/former plaeyrs are saying that if Bykov could Ovi along with Semin, they could do a whole lot more damage at the Worlds.
I don't blame Ovie for not scoring at the worlds because I honestly don't think he was into it. He said he didn't want to go, but he would and that alone made me think he was just going so he didn't have to stop playing yet.
That, plus playing for a shitty coach who not only doesn't know how to coach, but bad mouths your friend?
Ovi was easily the hardest worker at the end of the last series in the play offs. He was the only one, other than Neuvy who constantly played like he wanted it. But you can't do that when they know you and will block all your shots. No wonder he's fucking depressed.
I think they just need to keep some of the older guys they just got, mainly Arnott and keep the roster- coach included- pretty much the same and hopefully they'll have a better year injury wise and settle into the new system and above all, want it more.
He looked like he was bored to be there and I don't blame him.
Yeah, that looks like Magomet. Have we found out who he is? The past 1-2 years he's been seen with Ovie a lot here and in Russia.
He needs to get to work. Too much talk, too many TV commercials. For the last 1.5 years his play hasn't justified the star treatment and his inflated ego.
@Jeremy,
Why don't you go post elsewhere if you're just going to trash him.
He is on vacation. All athletes need downtime before training again. Training all the time just wears the body down faster.
I guarantee Jeremy is a Pens fan.
Vyacheslav Bykov and Igor Zakharkin are out of the team! They are fired!!!
