Goose, sparrow, and little lamb. LOL! And Ovi's girlfriend from last year, Valeri Sokolova, had a last name that means 'falcon'.

So Sasha Sparrow is a real person after all. I thought it was a character from the new "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, Capt. Jack Sparrow's Russian cousin perhaps LOL! :)
I am sorry, what exactly does ovechkin mean? Oveja? What is that?
Oveja means "sheep" in Spanish/Latin.
In Russian Ovechka means little lamb, meek people would get nicknames like that and that's the origin of his last name.

@bwitch16: in keeping with the animal/bird theme of this thread, I'd say the lady's last name translates to some animal or bird species. :)
Ovie's eyes in all 3 photos caught my attention, especially when compared to the pic of him as a boy dressed in Sabres gear in another thread. IMO in these 3 pics Ovie's eyes simultaneously reveal everything and nothing. They are expressive, and yet at the same time mysterious. Ovie not only commands and demands our attention, he's also daring us to figure out what he's thinking and feeling at the moment. Awesome!
