As reported by BobbyG... Thanks!

Update:

Here's another great report from Jill Sorensen. You can see Ovi playing street hockey with kids...

Thanks for the video.

I had an awesome time at the convention and got both an autograph and picture with Ovi.

Then I corrected Elliot on how to pronounce Mattias Sjögrens name at the Coming to America panel, and of course got a pic with my Swedish new fave.

Now I'm exhausted ;-)

Bwtich, I was at that panel and I saw you make the correction. I remembered thinking you had to be Swedish to be able to pronounce Sjogren's name correctly. It's impossible for me to even attempt!

I enjoyed the convention a lot. My favorite was the kids press conference by Karl Alzner and John Carlson.

@bwitch,

There has been a debate as to how Sjogren sounds to an English speaker. Is it closer to "shoe"; "show", or "soy" and "grin" or "grain"?

Honestly I would have no idea how to write the Sch- sound bwitch and Sjogren made when saying his name, Sjogren's accent on it was even stronger than bwitch. It is completely foreign to English. There was a lot of H sound in there I didn't expect. He said he was fine if people call him Show-grin (pronounced like Sjogren's Syndrome).

@AB and Anonymous: It is very hard to put a good sound to how to pronounce his name correctly....Show-grin is probably the best we're going to get.

and if you add in his accent in Sweden, he would pronounce it differently than I did, so that would be even funnier, but I'm not going there ;-)

But if they would have me, I would love to help Joe and Craig pronounce the Swedish and European names when they do the commentary, lol. Free of charge of course.
