Bolts 2, Caps 1. 3/18/2012

Ovi playing time was second in the team, John Carlson had more only by 7 seconds! Every time he was on the ice, he was a clear and present danger to Bolts. He played in almost every line. Unfortunately it didn't convert to a goal for Ovi.

Ovechkin's stats:

total ice time 22:44, 23 shifts, average 00:59, PP 03:04, short handed 00:08, even 19:32, 4 shots on goal, 3 attempts blocked, 2 missed, 1 hit, 1 giveaway, 1 blocked shot

ive given up on his ability to dominate games like he used to. every single shift watching players like malkin and stamkos they pretty much get chances while ovie swoops around the left wing predicably. in no way has he evolved like other players that just improve season by season, making it very frustrating for me as a caps fan to watch this. i guess my only hope now is for the upcoming evgeny kuznetsov to be a star for the caps like ovie was

Sure, Ovi is not the same, but has Stamkos scored 65 goals in a season already? And where was Malkin in the last 4 season besides this one?

Who scored the tying goal in previous game?

Even if Ovi is not the same, he is still the main threat to any team Caps play against.

Well, that's too bad for you but I still believe in Ovi and he will always be the Caps star.

He's not doing enough to help carry his team to victory. I know that there are others who aren't doing the same thing but he's the captain of the team and he should lead by example.

All teams and individuals have to deal with losing their teammates. He needs to go to the net more often where he can score goals and throw his opponents off guard.
