Caps players Mike Knuble, Jeff Halpern, Jay Beagle and Alex Ovechkin address the media after a 5-0 loss against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Embarrassing loss and it seems like Ovi got injured.
Capitals Insider:
It’s unclear when exactly Ovechkin might have suffered an injury. Based on video replay of the contest, it may have been when Ovechkin absorbed a hip check from Carolina defenseman Tim Gleason roughly eight minutes into the second period. The hit appeared to cause some strain on Ovechkin’s left leg upon impact.
CSN Washington’s broadcast of the game caught Ovechkin bent over on the bench, his head on the boards hidden in his hands, just eight seconds after his last shift concluded. (H/T to Japers’ Rink for the screen shot) Asked after the game what was going through his mind at that point, Ovechkin didn’t share much: “Nothing, I was just like very mad about myself.”
All told, Ovechkin finished with 15:43 in ice time – his second lowest total of the season

@JapersRink: "Picture, thousand words, etc."
Just showed how desperate Ovi was, trying to do something. In other times he'd never go like this along the boards because it was very clear he could get clipped by Gleason.
Ovechkin's stats:
-2, total ice time 15:43, 18 shifts, average 00:52, PP 03:08, even 12:35, 1 shot on goal, 3 attempts blocked, 1 missed, 3 hits
On a personal note I've lost my faith, if there was one, in Dale Hunter. The team looked totally unprepared, and that is coach's fault.

Notice he has the a8 logo from his ccm gear on his stick.
Yeah, that's interesting detail, thanks!
I don't know what's going on with this team, it's hard to blame anybody EXCEPT the players, all of them. You can't blame GMGM who year after year deadline day or over the summer acquires the players that should launch us to greatness, you can't blame the coach because BB, Hunter they can't play the game for the wins, you can't blame the fans because we keep showing up we keep caring.. You blame the players all of them equally... Now with that said it is a frustrating time but there is still hope and not just some little glimmer but one game and we are still in the hunt, one game and we are back on track, one game and there's still 23more games after it. Come on boys, wake up, pull yourselves back up, you're still in this, you're still the team I love and you're still the team with who I view as a great Captain, LET'S GO!!!!
@Marge:
Oh, we sure can blame the coach.
I know is the players job to win and give it all every time, but when the coach doesn't use the right tactics the team gets checkmate.
Is there a way to get Hunter out and bring a bad ass coach that will torture our players to the playoffs and the cup?
