Tempers flared often Thursday night in Game 3 between the Capitals and Bruins, but the fracas that could have a lasting impact came after time expired. Boston forward Rich Peverly tripped Alex Ovechkin in the corner of the Washington zone, drawing the ire of Nicklas Backstrom. The Capitals center came to Ovechkin's aid and proceeded to cross check Peverley to the face. It was Backstrom's third penalized cross check of the game and this one garnered a match penalty, which results in an automatic suspension pending review by the NHL's department of player safety. Coach Dale Hunter was optimistic after Washington's 4-3 loss that the 24-year-old Swede won't face supplementary discipline.

I really hate the NHL! People say that the capitals are underdogs now but I have always consider them underdogs. Fuck the NHL, every other team and their fucking fans! Lets win that fucking trophy and shove it up their asses! X(
Caps fans need to spend more time cheering on their team then complaining about the refs during the game. "Fans" at Monday's game spent a majority of the time yelling at the refs because they don't understand the rules of the game.
In regards to the entitled Alex Ovetjkin; a show of disrespect for the USA putting on his helmet and skating around prior to the end of the Star Spangled Banner at Monday Night's game.
Drink of the week at local DC bars, "The Ovetjkin"...a white russian with no cup.

Really? Hahaha! I thought Bruins fans didn't care about the USA since they don't seem to care about Tim Thomas ditching the President of the United States!
Ovetjkin showed disrespect to a country.....Thomas showed disrespect to a man who is SUPPOSED to represent the country. There is a difference.
