With no enforcers around Ovi has to take care of himself. As we mentioned before "all you need is a low check on Ovechkin" and the player who did that gets immediate recognition. That's why Alex should protect himself by dropping the gloves next time and besides Ovi knows this is not the NHL and Russian players are not very skilled in fighting.
Send them a message, Ovi!
Sergei Fedorov got in a fight upon returning to KHL (2 years ago).

what...? no, but.... no no... fighting only happens in the NHL... this... this can't be... I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!
GO BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS BEFORE!!!
Speaking as a Penguins fan here, but this is why I am worried about star players going to Russia. KHL is filled with so many clown players and teams that they constantly take runs and cheap shots against higher level players. I hope for the sake of the game that stars like Ovi, Geno Malkin, ect. come back in one piece. My gut tells me Ovi can take care of himself...but you never know.
Love the guy picking his nose at the 0:30 mark.
Cam, you are kidding right? I think the NHL has more cheap shots against anybody. I think the cheap shots in the KHL are more in a exaggerated and shameless way. It's like they don't know to hide their crime.
But there are definitely less shots in the KHL since the refs make a lot of calls even for just a small thing.
I thought that was the reason why NHL fans did not like the KHL and also for not having a lot of fights.
Anyways, things change and if seems that jealousy is getting in the heads of some idiots. Last year Kuznetsov got beat up pretty bad and now star players from the NHL are being attack.
If the KHL wants international respect and recognition, then they should make sure these attacks don't go unpunished.
